In early July, Cirque du Soleil invited our entire group of Capital Circus to attend the OVO show in Ottawa at Canadian Tire Centre (Kanata).
The kids and parents were thrilled, as it’s not often that you get to see such an incredible show! OVO is a whirlwind journey into a colorful ecosystem teeming with life, where insects work, eat, crawl, flutter, play, fight, and seek love in a continuous riot of energy and movement. OVO is full of contrasts. The hidden, secret world at our feet reveals itself to us as gentle and hot, noisy and quiet, peaceful and chaotic. And as the sun rises on a bright new day, a bright new cycle of insect life begins.
When a mysterious egg appears among them, the insects experience awe and an insatiable curiosity about this iconic object, personifying the mystery and cycles of their lives. It’s love at first sight when a clumsy, eccentric insect appears in this noisy community, and his gaze is attracted by a fabulous ladybug – and the feeling is mutual. The House of Insects is a world of biodiversity and beauty, filled with noise and moments of quiet emotions. OVO is full of contrasts. The hidden, secret world at our feet opens up to us as gentle and hot, noisy and quiet, peaceful and chaotic. And with the sunrise on a new bright day, a new bright cycle of insect life begins.

Capital Circus Ottawa had a unique opportunity to visit not only the show itself, which took place in the Canadian Arena, but also to go backstage, talk to the artists and immerse themselves in the world of Cirque du Soleil. All because the founder of our group worked in this show, and created unique props that are still used in Cirque du Soleil. Children and adults were thrilled by the performance. Cirque du Soleil, which provide our children tickets, is as always on top, because the philosophy of the circus, coming from its founder Guy Laliberte, is not only the financial component but, above all, care for the artists and spectators. Cirque du Soleil is the ideal that you need to grow up to understand.
At Capital Circus we take care that for children our training and performances do not become ordinary activities that are common in Canada, but that children carry a spark of art in their hearts and perhaps someday also sparkle on the world stage of the best circus in the world.
