About
German Wheel, also known as Rhönrad, is a unique circus and sports discipline performed inside and around a large metal wheel. Training combines balance, strength, coordination, spatial awareness, and artistic movement, providing an engaging full body physical and mental challenge.
Under the guidance of an experienced coach, students will learn how to work safely and confidently with the wheel. Beginners start with fundamental positions, controlled rocking, straight line rolling, and basic assisted movements. As their skills develop, students may progress to spinning, cartwheel movements, partner exercises, and more advanced combinations.
Classes are suitable for beginners as well as students with previous German Wheel experience. Exercises and progressions will be adapted to each participant’s ability and comfort level.
Please bring clean, tight fitting lace up shoes with thin, flexible soles, such as martial arts shoes or Converse-style sneakers. Loose, bulky, or thick soled footwear is not recommended.
The session includes six one-hour German Wheel classes. Class size is limited to four students to provide personalized coaching, safe progression, and sufficient practice time with the wheel.
