Hula Hoop Classes at Capital Circus
Capital Circus is excited to offer a series of beginner friendly hula hoop classes designed for both absolute beginners and those with some prior hoop experience. Each class is carefully structured to be welcoming, playful, and empowering, with clear progressions, optional challenges, and adaptations to suit different abilities and comfort levels.
Hula hoops are provided.
These classes are a perfect introduction to hula hooping as a joyful movement practice and also as a circus discipline and. Participants will be guided through foundational techniques while building confidence, coordination, and body awareness. This series is intended as a starting point and will be followed by ongoing beginner level hoop classes throughout the year.

Why hula hooping?

Hula hooping is a low impact, full body activity that offers powerful physical and mental benefits. It helps improve:
Core strength and stability, coordination, balance, and posture
, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and joint mobility.
Hooping also supports focus, stress relief, and body confidence. By working with an external object, the hoop, your attention naturally shifts away from self judgment and toward playful exploration. Over time, this creates a strong mind body connection and encourages a sense of flow and presence.

6 classes $180 plus $37 registration fee or 12 classes $360 plus $37 registration fee
  • Session 6 classes. Optional 12 classes
  • Age 7 – 65 y.o
  • Max 10 students per class
  • Tuesday 7PM – 8PM (Edge Gymnastics)
